This 3” shell’s 1-1/4 ounce column of #3 steel shot is actually made up of two types of shot pellets. Sixty percent of those pellets are Federal’s regular premium steel, which is intensely spherical and carefully screened to ensure uniform dimensions. The other 40 percent is FliteStopper pellets. These have sharp ridges circling their centers, which tear much wider wound channels into their target than a #3 shot pellet’s 0.14” diameter alone could account for!

This Black Cloud shell features Federal’s FliteControl Flex wad. It is compatible with both ported and standard waterfowl chokes, deploys stabilizing petals as soon as it exits the muzzle, and has side vents which ensure clean separation from the shot once it has been properly stabilized.

This shell is ready for the wetlands. Its propellant is formulated to deliver a consistent muzzle velocity over a wide range of temperatures. Its head is plated to resist corrosion. And its sealed crimp keeps out moisture, even in the pouring rain.
